Frequently asked questions

  • Which planets are retrograde right now?

Right now Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron are retrograde. The outer planets spend four to five months of every year moving backwards, so they are almost always on this list; Mercury, Venus and Mars are the retrogrades people feel.

  • When is the next Mercury retrograde?

Mercury is retrograde right now. The page for it has this year's dates and how many days are left.

  • When is the next eclipse?

The next one is the annular solar eclipse in aquarius on February 6, 2027. Eclipses come in pairs, a solar and a lunar about two weeks apart, usually twice a year.

  • What is an astrology calendar?

A list of the sky's events with their dates: planets turning retrograde and direct, planets changing sign, eclipses and the start of each zodiac season. Every date here is calculated from astronomical tables, the same ones the Nua app reads, on US Eastern time.

  • Do these events affect everyone the same way?

The events themselves happen for everyone at once, so their meaning here is shared. How they land on you depends on your birth chart: which sign and part of your chart a planet passes through. Your sign's page shows the slow planets on your Sun; the app reads your whole chart.
